Then, you’ve found the right place! On The Way Home has already come a long way from what it used to be. When I first created this blog in 2008, it was a site with no purpose, as I made one while I was in college because everyone else was doing it. Right before I began graduate school, I had gotten the itch to write about sports. I did so for a little while, and even though I enjoyed it, school ended up taking over my life for the next year.

I made myself a promise that I would give blogging a fair try once I was done with my degree. So, in August 2011, I decided to re-design the site and re-name it On The Way Home (thanks to my lovely fiance for the assist) to focus on my biggest passion and what I know best, baseball.

I’ve truly enjoyed watching this site build up into what it is today; it’s created new opportunities for me in the blogging world, as I’m also the Senior Editor at Rising Apple, a Mets blog that is a part of the FanSided MLB network.

While I’m very passionate about my Mets and love covering them everyday on Rising Apple, paying attention to and giving my opinion about events pertaining to all of Major League Baseball is another deep passion of mine, which is where On The Way Home acts as my outlet for those opinions and analysis.

Last week, the site has earned the honor of being a part of the Yardbarker Network, where I’ve immediately seen a nice spike in readership. I’m looking for writers to partner with who want to continue building this site’s reputation into what I envision it being: a hub for condensing all the current news and rumors, and area unique opinion through editorials, a place where readers can be heard, while paying close attention to and honoring the history of the game. This is an unpaid position.
