I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season to you and your loved ones! I hope that despite all of the tragedies we’ve had to endure in recent months (Hurricane Sandy, the snowstorm that hit a week after, and the inexplicable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School) you are all able to enjoy this special day to its fullest. It’s hard to believe another year is just about in the books, as we’re looking forward to 2013. It’s not New Year’s yet, but looking back on the year that was 2012, it was a pretty good one for me.

I got engaged to and amazing woman, and one who is incredibly understanding (with all the writing I do), enjoyed my first promotions in the professional world, and received the opportunity to become Senior Editor at Rising Apple, just to name a few. With my responsibilities at Rising Apple and that pesky day job, I haven’t been able to post nearly as much as I would like to here at On the Way Home, but the support I get from all of you every time I do get the opportunity to post is unbelievable and much appreciated.

I’ve been putting together some ideas for On the Way Home in 2013 and plan on posting more consistently; so, look for some changes here at the site and some more analysis/opinion for both current players and those who have since hung up their spikes! For now, enjoy the Holiday season, squeeze your loved ones tight, and relax!
